Listening &
Engagement
Challenge: To facilitate a diverse group of people to conduct listening sessions and gather the feedback into concrete themes for change.
Actions: Designed and delivered a listening facilitator training program. Led volunteer teams to conduct listening circles involving over 500 participants and synthesized written submissions.
Results: Co-authored a final synthesis report for senior leadership, translating feedback into clear themes for organizational change.
Community Safety & Wellbeing
Challenge: Implement a comprehensive municipal Community Safety and Wellbeing Strategy to mitigate social disruption from the toxic drug crisis.
Actions: Coordinated multidisciplinary partners (First Nations, first responders, and government ministries) to align activities and track commitments.
Results: Established shared objectives and measurable outcomes, providing strategic guidance to City Council and the public to ensure accountability.
Training & Development
Challenge: Managing the national emergency management training program for senior officials across Canada.
Actions: Coordinated 8–10 annual facilitated learning sessions for 75 participants and 20+ staff. Instructed senior emergency management personnel (police, fire, paramedics, and public works) in emergency operations centre management.
Results: Developed instructor guides and participant manuals for national programs, strengthening the practitioner network and ensuring consistent learning delivery.
Indigenous Collaboration & Stewardship
Challenge: Managing health promotion programs and grant allocations for First Nations in Northern Territories
and Yukon.
Actions: Oversaw $7M program budgets, reviewed grant applications, and monitored project evaluations while maintaining stakeholder communications and identifying risks.
Results: Ensured accountability and results-focused reporting for critical health initiatives in remote Indigenous communities.
